Is it really November?

Oops, I kind of promised pictures of the house didn't I? Oh well, I'm here with some great family pictures instead! My friend took some photo's of us at the lake in our neighborhood. I LOVE them! It's been at least a couple years since we did a family photo, long overdue!

Busy, Busy

Well hello. We are finally checking in! I't been C.R.A.Z.Y busy around here! We moved into our house! The move was really fast and we got the whole inside of the house painted due to some awesome helpers. We love it, but we've had to do a lot of projects to get things fixed. I feel like I personally know most of the folks at home depot now!

I've been planning to take lots of before and after pics, but when were in the thick of it I never wanted to stop to take pictures. So soon I will post the "after" pics.

We moved in a week before Chloe started first grade. The first day she rode the bus the bus driver dropped her off at the wrong bus stop! I nearly had a panic attack when Chloe didn't get off the bus! The bus driver said Chloe had insisted that the wrong stop was her stop, poor thing doesn't know the new neighborhood yet. I dragged Cavan with me as I ran through the neighborhood to find her. Another mom had noticed her looking lost and upset and stayed with her thankfully.

.

This year I joined a Joy School for Cavan. So far he LOVES it! He also is doing soccer for the first time and he loves that as well. We had his first game on saturday and it was pouring rain. The poor kids stuck it out and played great.

One thing we love about our new neighborhood is the lake. Here's Tayler and the kids on our final days of summer.

Next time pictures of the house, I promise :)

I'm a lucky duck!

I was invited by my sister in law Megan for a day on her parents boat. Just Megan, her parents and sister....no kids! Needless to say we had a blast. We left from lake Washington, then passed through "the cut" to lake union. Here's bill gates house!

Then I tried my hand at water skiing. Megan made it look so easy! It took several tries before I got up, and then I lasted maybe a few seconds.

We stopped off at Ivars for lunch, its oh so yummy!

We also got to see the famous Sleepless in Seattle houseboat.

Lavender Festival, berry picking and cows!

Keeping busy is the name of the game for us right now. So this weekend we drove to Sequim (pronounced skwim, not see-quim like we thought :) for the annual Lavender festival. This part of Washington is for some reason not as rainy as everywhere else, and it's a big lavender farming area.

Here Chloe is enjoying jersey cow milk and fresh hot donuts, yum!

My handsome man

This is the Lavender/Berry farm we went to.

Brock got to use a scary looking knife for cutting the lavender, he didn't mind..

Our bucket of berries

Next we went to the farm that provided the milk at the lavender festival. There were so many calves in their little pens. I never realized how sweet and friendly cows were. This one in particular was our favorite. Her name was Selene. She was like an affectionate little puppy, I wanted to take her home!

On the way home we decided to take the ferry, this was a first for the kids and I

Checking out the beach while waiting for our boat

Wow was it windy!

and beautiful!

Our dramatic little dog waiting for us looking sad and abandoned

Hopefully our next post will be after we've moved!
