Lavender Festival, berry picking and cows!

Keeping busy is the name of the game for us right now. So this weekend we drove to Sequim (pronounced skwim, not see-quim like we thought :) for the annual Lavender festival. This part of Washington is for some reason not as rainy as everywhere else, and it's a big lavender farming area.

Here Chloe is enjoying jersey cow milk and fresh hot donuts, yum!

My handsome man

This is the Lavender/Berry farm we went to.

Brock got to use a scary looking knife for cutting the lavender, he didn't mind..

Our bucket of berries

Next we went to the farm that provided the milk at the lavender festival. There were so many calves in their little pens. I never realized how sweet and friendly cows were. This one in particular was our favorite. Her name was Selene. She was like an affectionate little puppy, I wanted to take her home!

On the way home we decided to take the ferry, this was a first for the kids and I

Wow was it windy!

and beautiful!

Our dramatic little dog waiting for us looking sad and abandoned

Hopefully our next post will be after we've moved!
