Cavan at Preschool

I haven't had a chance to upload any new photo's, so I thought I'd share some of the photo's taken of Cavan at preschool. There are two "photographers" at Cavan's school, another mom and myself. It's so fun to watch him with the other kids and get to experience that with him.
Yes, he wears his cape to school!

This is his absolute most favorite time of preschool I think....snack time. I'm always slightly embarrassed because he eats as if I'm starving him. I think he just loves it even more because it's not just a home snack, it's a preschool snack.
I'm going to take a moment to brag a little....I got a phone call from the principal at Chloe's school. I was bracing myself for the worst, but he told me that Chloe was the student of the week, and how great they thought she was! I'm so glad to hear it, I guess she saves her meltdowns for at home!

Catching up....

For Brock's 32nd Birthday we did a "Savor Seattle Food Tour" We got to sample all sorts of great food and had a great time.

Chloe and Cavan with their best bud Jonathan at the Woodland Park Zoo

Love this one...milking a cow in his cowboy boots :)

Date night!! This night we went to a play with our new friends Stacy and John.

Chloe lost her first tooth!!

It seems like one of those milestones that really reminds me how much she's grown.

Cavan decided he wanted his head shaved so that he could look just like his hero- Uncle Kurt
Here's Cavan getting ready for his first day of preschool. On his first day they had to capture a spider and bring it to class. They talked about fears, and why we shouldn't fear spiders (not sure I was convinced) and then they set them free outside. He was a little uneasy about the whole thing, but it was a neat experience.

Happy Halloween!!

Ahhh, Maple Valley. It's beautiful and serene. I'm really starting to like it here. It has a storybook small town feel. I really don't mind the rain because it's more of a drizzle or mist and it makes everything feel clean and fresh. It can be very gray and dark during the day though which I'm still trying to get used to. One other adjustment, BUGS! In Nevada you really didn't have to deal with too many spiders or insects. Now bone is getting fleas which he never had before. But the worst is the spiders!!! There will be at least two or three spiders that have made a home on our front porch at all times. Then on the patio is another spider community. These are not just little spiders, these are big nasty looking spiders!

Uugghhh...shudder....I'm too scared to even attempt to sweep them off so for now they get to have the patio!

So I am happy to announce that I am a stay at home mom again!! I am so very happy that I don't have to leave the kids and Brock anymore. Brock's working a ton of hours, but he's doing awesome at his job, I am so proud of him!!

Here's a little apartment tour by Cavan:

Our patio overlooks the little park in our apartments
See Bone's tent (that orange thing)? Isn't that adorable, we found it at Ikea. Now he's a proper northwest dog.

Here's our living/dining area

Last but not least I have to share Chloe's Kindergarten picture

The Puyallup Fair

We had a great time taking the kids to the Puyallup fair. It's Washington's state fair, and it's actually the nations 8th largest. The rides were rickety, and the carnies were creepy, but to the kids it was as good as Disneyland!

Riding the tiger coaster

The kids had some serious expressions before starting the dragon coaster

Chloe's been wanting to have "real" cotton candy on a stick for a long time, and me too, I was glad to snag a bite

We stopped by the Chiquita Bananna booth for an adorable picture

and then they gave them bananna crowns and monkey's that scream when you throw them

bumper cars!!
