Chloe's first day of Kindergarten!

Wow, I can't believe that day has come. Yes she's only just starting school. But for me it's a milestone, one that makes it feel like she's getting so grown up. I won't have her at home with me all day everyday anymore. She's in someone elses hands now, and I have to have faith that she will be just fine. I hate to think of someone picking on her, or not wanting to be friends with her. But I know that even if she has those experiences that it's part of life, and I can't always be there to fight her battles for her.

She already made a friend at the bus stop

She was so brave and excited, yet just a little vulnerable

Cavan is really going to miss his sister when she's at school

Saying goodbye to daddy

This is when the tears started falling

There she goes

And here we followed

And then we jumped out and greeted her as she got off the bus. Here she is finding her teacher.

Making a new friend

Here's where the tears started pouring for a second time

She got off the bus so excited and happy when we picked her up. As hard as it is for me, I'm so happy to see her reach this milestone and be so brave and excited about it.

Check out befunky.com for some really fun photo editing tools! Unfortunately there's a pesky little watermark at the bottom unless you pay for the program.

I turned 26 this month, actually it was my "golden" birthday, 26 on the 26th.

We took a hike with the kids that led to these waterfalls, it was gorgeous!

We are loving the wild berries that seem to grow everywhere here!

Cavan seems to love falling asleep on Taylors lap

This is what they love to do when going over to Uncle Kurt's house

A fun day at Coulon Beach

That's all for now. There will be an apartment tour if we ever actually finish getting everything set up!

Awesome blog for the ladies

I saw this on Yahoo today, ladies, you have to check this out, what a cool idea!

New dress a day

This makes me want to dust off my sewing machine and go thrift store hunting!

Some new pics for now

We took one final trip to Lake Tahoe before we left Reno. The beach there is amazing, clear cold water, hot sand, lot's of trees. I love it there and will really miss it!

We went to Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle with Taylor, Makenzie, Cody and Jack. Places like this definately make me happy we moved here. Seattle actually has two zoos, an aquarium, and a kids Science Center. We cant wait to check them all out.

Were Moving!

I'm sure most of you have heard by now, we decided to move to Washington. We've put a lot of thought into this, and we think we are doing whats best for us and our family. I'm excited to move to Washington for the natural beauty, great schools, minimal snow, arts, sports, culture and job opportunities. Of course being near Kurt, Megan and kids, and Cody, Joanne and Jack is going to be awesome. It makes me a little less scared to move to a new state knowing that we have family close by. Of course I am nervous for many reasons as well, starting over again, rain, leaving behind friends and family, moving to an apartment from a house. But all in all, the excitement overwhelms the nervousness!!

I've been reading about Washington online, and I've found these gorgeous pictures that are making me more and more excited!

my mothers day

I have an awesome husband! He's always doing so much for me, but this mothers day he really spoiled me! I got a day of pampering, (the next day since we both worked mothers day) And, he did this.... We got the gazebo, but we couldn't just stop there. Next Brock found this hammock at Smith's grocery store for a great deal

Then Brock got this table and chair set from work. They were going to throw it away, so Brock cleaned it up and then did this amazing mosaic tile work on the top.

Then we found these cool paper lanterns at World market for a little nighttime ambiance

And for the final touch, Brock got these Black Eyed Susans that will climb up the gazebo as they grow.

Aahhhhhh, time to relax!
